my approach

I am inspired by the principle “small is all,” a term popularized by adrienne maree brown. This principle is rooted in the practice of biomimicry, which learns from and mimics strategies found in nature to solve challenges faced by humanity.

Looking to nature for inspiration at both micro and macro levels, we notice patterns. One such pattern is the helix, which materialises in our DNA, the formation of seashells and the manifestations of nebulas in the cosmos. I believe that healing can take shape like this and that a focus and curiosity on small patterns within ourselves can lead to greater changes in our own bodies, in relationship to those we love, and with communities of which we are members.

I practice non-judgment and informed consent with everyone who comes to this work. Through my personal lineages with the following communities I welcome people who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, trans, nonbinary and people with fluid gender identities, people who do or are linked to sex work, drug use, sobriety, and non-traditional (romantic or otherwise) relationships and family structures. These communities are often subject to stigma that compromise our health, sometimes detrimentally. For this reason, I emphasize my welcome to engaging in this practice together.

COVID-19 considerations

I am currently doing sessions online for accessibility.

When doing sessions from your location, I suggest gathering a few items that can help you find more comfort. For example, a favourite blanket or scarf, pillows, the ability to adjust your temperature with a hot water bottle or a cool damp cloth, essential oils, and tea are all ways the comforts of home can be accessed. Pets are also welcome if you feel their presence is grounding.
